Synthesis of Metallic Nano-particles (Au, Pt) stabilized with organic capping molecules (tetraoctylamonium bromide) to prepare self-assembled hybrid systems with thiophene and pyrrole-based oligomers and polymers, properly functionalized. The materials organized in thin films through layer-by-layer are employed for Opto-Electronic applications and in Direct-Methanol Fuel-Cells.

Synthesis of Inorganic Semiconducting Nano-particles (CdSe, PbSe) obtained through one-pot reaction, soluble in organic solvents and stabilized with organic capping molecules (stearate, hexadecylamine, oleate) to prepare self-assembled thin films on transparent electrode surfaces, for Opto-electronic applications and Solar Cells.

Bulk Hybrid Systems obtained through ligand-exchange and composed of a networks of Metallic or Inorganic Semiconducting nano-particles cross-linked with bi-multi-functionalized molecular systems.

Synthesis of Metallic nano-particles functionalized with thiophene and pyrrole-based oligomeric systems obtained through ligand-exchange and cross-linked by means of electropolymerization reactions.
