Formazione
Andrea Vittadini received his “laurea” degree (cum laude) in Chemistry from the University of Padua in 1983. After a period of training as a Research Fellow of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), in 1988 he joined the CNR as a Research Scientist. In 1998 he was appointed Senior Research Scientist, and is now a member of the research staff of ICMATE in Padua. He was visiting scientist at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland (1991, 1994) and at the Princeton University (2000, 2011). His expertise concerns the modeling of complex chemical systems by first principles techniques. His main current research topics include metal oxide surfaces, nanostructures metal oxides, functionalization of metal and metal oxide surfaces, and molecular self assembly. He has co-authored over 120 ISI papers.
