The assets of the ICMATE libraries have been enriched over time thanks to the many interests and disciplines in which the Institute is concerned. The subject areas range over different chemical specialties (such as radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, environmental chemistry), over physics and chemical-physical interdisciplinary aspects (such as materials science, nanotechnology, metallurgy, surface treatments, conservation and restoration of cultural heritage).

Hence the multidisciplinary nature and the richness of the arguments of periodical and monographic collections.
