Gregorio Bottaro si è laureato in Chimica all’Università di Padova nel 2000. Nel 2003 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Scienza dei Materiali. Dopo un periodo passato come borsista del CNR e di INSTM è diventato Ricercatore del CNR nel 2008.
L’attività di ricerca è focalizzata sulla sintesi, caratterizzazione e spettroscopia ottica di nanosistemi inorganici e materiali molecolari funzionali per applicazioni in energetica, (foto)catalisi e nanobiomedicina. L’attività si sviluppa in tre settori tra loro complementari:

Gregorio Bottaro received his “laurea” degree in Chemistry from the University of Padua in 2000. In 2003 he received his PhD in Materials Science. After a period of training as a Research Fellow of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and of National Interuniversity Consortium of Materials Science and Technology (INSTM), in 2008 he joined the CNR as a Research Scientist.
The research activity is focused on the synthesis, characterization and optical spectroscopy of inorganic nanosystems and molecular functional materials for applications in energetics, catalysis (photo) and nanobiomedicine. The activity is developed in three complementary areas:
